It all started for me around 2008. I was looking for a more effective (and inexpensive) way to communicate with my customers. I noticed our local chamber was using Constant Contact to send out a weekly email. I started using it and I was Hooked! I became a loyal customer. I believed so strongly in this company that I wanted to share it with every small business, the obvious solution – become a Constant Contact Solution Provider. So, I did, in 2010.
They call customers like me, Brand Advocates.
What is it that makes me a Brand loyal customer to a business like Constant Contact? The product? Yes. The customer service and support? Most definitely. But, most importantly, the experience.
They not only created a useful tool for communications, they created a well-rounded support system for their users. They invented an experience that is; safe, intuitive, fun, educational, and helps us keep our business in constant contact with the people that matter most to us – our clients.
There are others in the field, MailChimp being the most notable. I have tried some of them, but I always come back to Constant Contact because of their support and their ease of use. Recently, I had client who left Constant Contact for MailChimp, they liked my service so much they asked me to go along and to learn MailChimp. For me, it was like learning a whole new language, a difficult language. I am that way with PC’s too. I am an Apple User (love my Apple products), but put me on a PC and I am at complete lost. It's a right-brain, left-brain thing I suppose, and I am not ambidextrous. I got so frustrated with MailChimp’s interface and not being able to talk to anyone, I left frustrated.
I don't sell my clients on using Constant Contact because I am a Solution Provider, I encourage them to use them because Constant Contact is that good. They understand small businesses and they understand marketing. Most importantly, they are there to help, something most online companies do not offer anymore.
Since 2008, my email marketing program has been my most valuable marketing tool. Thanks to Constant Contact, I keep in touch with my customers more frequently, providing them with what they need.
